Here at The Doghouse Kendal our in house groomer is Laura, she trained at the Canine Groom School in Clitheroe, which is the Norths No 1 training academy. She has the following qualifications in dog grooming:
Open College Network (OCN) Level 3 in Dog Grooming
City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Dog Grooming
City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma Qualification in Dog Grooming
Certain XL dog breeds require more than a 1 to 1 groomer, so we do not take any booking for XL breeds without consulting Laura first.
We will always sit down with you before your groom and talk through with you what you'd like out of your dog's groom. In this consultation you can tell us what kind of style you would like your dog to look or inform us of any health problems that we need to be aware of.
The Full Groom
Bathed, fluff dried, clipped, scissored, styled, hygiene trim, nail trim, ear clean and a finishing spray of dog perfume.

The Spaniel & Setter Trim and Tidy
For those who just need an outline trim on feathers, skirt and tail and a tidy of fluffy feet with a bath, fluff dry plus a hygiene trim if required.

The Bath and Blow Dry
Exactly as it says – a bath and fluff dry to keep those knots at bay.

The De-Shed
Perfect for dogs that are shedding heavily. We deep clean your dog's coat using a special de-shedding shampoo, blast off any loose hair with our high velocity driers and brush out as much hair as we can. Prices are divided into dog who have short and long hair.
SHORT HAIR: Small £20 / Medium £30 / Large £40
LONG HAIR: Small £30 / Medium £40 / Large £50
HAND STRIP: POA
Usually for wire haired breeds, the dead outer coat is removed at the end of its natural cycle by hand, this maintains the natural colour, texture and the health of the coat. This groom includes a nail trim, ear and eye area clean, but we prefer not to bathe your dog during this visit as a hand strip is a much easier process on an unwashed coat.
